Aliases, or scripts that define and bind complex actions to a single key, are a divisive issue in the Half-Life community. A couple of the more notorious binds, the "backwards longjump" and the "quick
crossbow shot" are particularly offensive.
Fortunately, the more scrupulous Op4 server administrators have taken the lead in promoting a bind-free zone, including the excellent Veraxx server. Following their lead we’ve removed the binds here and encourage
players to join us in bind-free play.
