The default Half-Life configuration is enough to get a person fragged. Select Configuration--Controls from the Half-Life menu to select a more efficient layout. Below is Chumpland’s keyboard configuration which just happens to be the best keyboard layout--ever.
Changes to the controls are reflected in the config.cfg file located in the valve folder.
Editing this file can give you access to commands not available through the Half-Life menu.
